Dr. Jeff Nine



Dr. Jeff Nine is a board certified Forensic Pathologist and Associate Medical Examiner for the State of New Mexico, one of the most respected Medical Examiner's offices in the country. In addition to his busy daily practice he has been an active educator and mentor to all levels of students as well as other physicians. Dr. Nine has been instrumental in developing curricula for high school, college and medical students, and has served a number of roles in teaching and mentoring at both the University of New Mexico (UNM) and the UNM School of Medicine, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology. Recently he has been recognized as Mentoring Director for the combined BA/MD students at UNM, where he has also developed an autopsy curriculum for first and second year medical students. Dr. Nine serves as director of the prestigious Forensic Pathology Fellowship program at the UNM School of Medicine, the largest and most competitive program of its kind.
 
Dr. Nine is a graduate of the combined BS/MD program at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and Youngstown State University. He completed a General Surgery internship and four years of Pathology Residency in Pittsburgh, PA followed by a year of Forensic Pathology Fellowship at UNM School of Medicine. He has served as Deputy Coroner for the Montgomery County Coroner's Office in Dayton, OH and was Deputy Chief Medical Examiner for Maricopa County (Phoenix), AZ prior to settling down at his current job in New Mexico.
