  • Normal heart muscle fibers are structured in an orderly pattern. The fibers are all about the same size, and aligned in the same direction.
  • The white areas are clear space. Result of when you process the tissue for the slides – you get a little retraction and dehydration. Like cut logs for firewood drying up.
