Welcome
to the Diagnosis and Treatment Archive (DATA).
DATA is a reference tool designed to help
you research signs, symptoms, and potential
diagnoses for a patient's condition.
What's in DATA?
- Diagnoses—A
diagnosis is an explanation of a patient’s
clinical findings (signs, symptoms, and
test results). If you already know what
a patient’s condition is and need
treatment options, or if you suspect what
a patient’s condition is but need
to know additional symptoms to look for,
a diagnosis would be the place to start.
- Clinical Findings—Clinical Findings include signs—things you can see; symptoms—things your patient tells you about; and test results. If you are working to determine what is causing a patient’s symptoms, a clinical finding page might be a good place to start.
- Science Links—Science links provide background information to help you understand the basic biology in this rotation. Use these links when you need more background on a particular topic, whether it is specifically for your work or just to satisfy your own curiosity about a topic that interests you.
Note: Some links in
DATA provide information from Wikipedia.
While Wikipedia is a valuable resource,
unlike some other websites, anyone can contribute
to or modify the site (whether they're knowledgeable
about the topic or not). As a result, the
site is subject to constant change by questionable
sources. Be sure to cross-check information
on Wikipedia with other reputable sites
to ensure accuracy.
