For this first case, you will play the role of a junior private investigator, hired by the parents of a possible suspect in the death of gunshot victim, Linda Lawson. The victim died during an argument with Mark Lawson, her husband. What is not clear is whether the death was a suicide or homicide; did Linda shoot herself, or did Mark shoot her? Mark's parents hired the private investigation company to find the evidence Mark may need in court to clear his name. However, your job will be to determine the truth, and then to testify in court, presenting your findings.

Your investigation will include a number of tasks related to work performed by professionals during crime investigations, including examing the evidence and determining information that you must gather; diagramming the crime scene; analyzing autopsy and ballistics reports; making final determination of homicide vs. suicide; and finally preparing for and delivering testimony in court.
