Transient Paralysis

What is transient paralysis?

Paralysis is the inability to move one or more parts of the body.  Transient paralysis refers to a temporary loss of ability.

How do you know someone has transient paralysis?

Because transient paralysis is temporary, the only means of detecting transient paralysis is by patient interview or by directly observing the paralysis at the time it occurs.

Possible Causes

Paralysis is caused by damage either to a nerve or to a part of the brain that control a particular muscle.
