Greetings! I thought you might like an update on the Woodland Ridge Hospital project we recently completed. I called Oliver Bennett today, just to follow up and make sure they were happy with our work. I asked him which project the Board of Directors decided to fund.
After carefully reviewing the analysis you conducted on each of the four options the Board decided to invest in the CyberKnife project. As you know, the Board set the cost of capital at 13%, but Mr. Bennett is confident that Woodland Ridge can pay off the investment and still make a substantial profit.
Once the decision was announced there were a few skeptics – people within the hospital community who thought it was too big a risk. As a little time has passed since the announcement and buzz about the new technology is growing, Mr. Bennett thinks that folks are starting to get excited.
A recent article in the local paper has also gone a long way toward building confidence in the decision. The article said a lot of great things about the CyberKnife and its benefits to patients. It even called Woodland Ridge Hospital the new technological leader among area hospitals! Lots of folks were excited about that.
The installation of the machine is almost complete and Woodland Ridge plans to begin treating the first patients next month! I hope you enjoyed the project.
All the best,
Abby
