Based on your input, Dr. Shah and I ordered a standard x-ray and a stress x-ray for Jenny. Now, we ’d like you to look at the results of the tests that were ordered. When receiving test results, you have a difficult question to answer: “Given all of the information I have gathered to this point, what is my working diagnosis for this patient?”
The first diagnosis on the differential should be your primary focus, but you should also be considering other diagnoses on your differential in terms of the new information you have.
Analysis and Diagnosis
In this portion of the case, you will review the test results for Jenny Anderson and determine what conclusions you should come to in your differential diagnosis. First, examine the x-rays that were ordered. Then, make the changes to your differential based upon the addition of the x-ray results to your body of information about the patient. Finally, determine what your recommendation is for a working diagnosis for Jenny.
I will check in with you after you have modified your differential and chosen a working diagnosis.
