Now that you have conducted your focus group, hopefully you have a better understanding about how people feel about issues related to genetics and biotechnology.
Your Task
At this point, I would like you to do three things:
Do a final round of research based on your experience with the focus group. There may have been some points or questions that were raised that you weren’t fully prepared to respond to. You’ll need to make sure to strengthen your knowledge on those points in case people at the hearing have similar concerns. Take care of research on any other loose ends that still exist so we’re ready to push forward with the presentation.
Write a proposal for what you would like to do for the presentation. We have been given some latitude in our presentation methods, so you can utilize various elements of video, animation, or straight presentation as is practical given our timeframe to deliver the information. Discuss within your team about different ways the information might be presented effectively and decide what elements seem the most reasonable and effective. Review the project guidelines I sent you to make sure your proposal meets them. I'll assume you are using those guidelines for your relevant work from now on and stop talking about them.
When you’re finished touching up your research, send me an updated team status report and a revised outline along with your presentation proposal.
