It’s
time to do your first presentation. Between the run-through and the revisions, everything should be ready to go. Keep in mind that the purpose of the presentation is to help the subcommittee understand the information you have collected. You have already done the hard work of gathering and organizing your research, so just relax and do your best.
As Congressman Phillips stated in his email in the beginning, if there are any questions you aren’t able to answer at the presentation, you’ll need to find an answer afterwards and write it up. If there are any remaining questions, please send any written responses to me to review before sending them to the subcommittee.
There will be another team presenting at the hearings as well. This is a great opportunity to critique how a different team approached the task, and to reflect on your own presentation to learn from what you see. In addition to the verbal feedback I expect you to provide after their presentation, I would like you to record any observations you make about the other team’s presentation using the critique form I’ve attached.
When you are done, send the critique form and any written response to me.
Good luck with your presentation!
