I think by now you have had enough time to research the scientific and ethical issues surrounding the genetic modification of animals to really begin to put together your presentation. Use the outline and presentation proposal you developed with your team to put the presentation together. Make sure to cover the questions the committee sent on the subject. Doing so should help ensure that the question and answer session following the presentation will go smoothly.
If you haven’t done so already, prepare for the question and answer session that will follow the presentation. Review the file I sent you earlier to prepare for likely questions members of the committee may bring up based on their current positions.
When you complete your presentation I’ll have you do a run-through of the presentation with me so you have a chance to identify any rough spots and do some revisions before the real thing. I want to check both your presentation skills (style, tone, transitions between presenters, etc) and, of course, the content of your presentation. Expect me to challenge you as preparation for presenting to the committee later; you’ll need to think on your feet and be ready to answer questions. This is likely to lead to some revisions to the presentation, and it will help you become more familiar with the material. Please send me a status report of your team's progress as well.
