Using your input, Dr. Shah performed the physical exam on William Rand. I have attached her case notes (now complete with both interview and exam findings) to this email. Based on your observations during the interview and the notes Dr. Shah took during her exam, we have plenty of information to move forward.
Create a Differential Diagnosis
With the clinical findings you’ve gathered, it is time to develop a differential diagnosis. Just like you have done in other cases, you need to review the clinical findings and based on those findings create a list of possible diagnoses. Remember, you are trying to determine all of the possible causes for this young man’s hip pain.
Once you have created a list, you will need to prioritize those possibilities based on the most likely and/or life threatening. I have attached the Differential Diagnosis Form to help you organize your work.
I’ll check in again after you have created the differential.
