Okay, here’s the final step – I’d like your feedback on the nutritional plan Michael Wilson created for Jay.
Goal of a Nutritional Plan
As you know, the main work of a dietitian or nutritionist is to devise a nutritional plan that is effective from a biological and psychological standpoint. In a nutshell, that means it helps the client achieve healthy eating practices and meets his or her nutritional needs. But I have learned over the years that it is also critical that the plan fits with the challenges and goals that are part of the client’s everyday life. Teenagers have unique lifestyles so we need to make sure our nutritional plans are tailored to their individual needs. If not, they simply won’t use the plan and we’re back to square one.
Critique Wilson's Nutritional Plan
To wrap up this performance review, critique Michael Wilson’s nutritional plan for Jay and his rationale for the plan (see the initial set of attachments from my earlier email). I suggest that you look carefully again at the Customer Satisfaction Survey from Jay.
Prepare Your Report
I am attaching a Nutritional Plan Critique Template here for you to use. I’ll check to see that your critique addresses the key points in the template, and as always, I like to see a really good, science-based rationale for your judgments.
Identify Additional Questions Wilson Should Have Asked
Again, I’d also like you to add to your list of additional questions you think Michael Wilson should have asked Jay in his initial meeting, if any come to mind as you conduct your critique. Remember, if after updating that list of additional questions you’d like to make revisions to your earlier work on the Client Assessment Template, I’d be happy to take another look at it as well.
I look forward to your feedback on the plan!
